Case For Film

Although changes have occurred with film over the years, you can still use decades-old cameras and projectors that take 35mm and 16mm film, and you'll still be able to decades from now.

Film is the only resolution-independent medium available today. Film stores enough image data to create a video master at 1.5 times the resolution of High Definition without artificially increasing the resolution. A standard NTSC Digital Betacam tape would need its resolution artificially increased six times to match the pixel count necessary for High Definition Video and nine times to match the available pixel information on the standard film frame.
